Modification of boiler heating surface using laser cladding technology
Due to the increase in urban waste collection and transportation volume, as well as the expansion and renovation of old incineration plants, the development of domestic waste incineration power generation has been rapid in recent years. However, during the waste incineration process, due to the large amount of Cl and S contained in the waste, the corrosion of the boiler heating surface is quite severe; In order to improve the efficiency of waste incineration power generation, power plants are developing towards high parameters (high temperature, high pressure). The higher the parameters, the more severe the corrosion and wear at high temperatures, resulting in a shorter service life of the boiler heating surface; Currently, various companies commonly adopt surfacing technology as a solution. However, due to the inherent nature of welding technology, the cost remains high and the efficiency is not high.
The laser cladding technology introduced by our company is a new surface modification technology. It forms a metallurgically bonded additive cladding layer on the surface of the substrate by adding a cladding material to the substrate surface and using a high-energy density laser beam to melt it together with a thin layer on the substrate surface.
Characteristics of laser cladding:
1. Compared to welding technology:
1) The coating thickness can be variable, allowing for thin coatings and reducing material costs;
2) The coating thickness has uniform performance, and the coating made by CMT welding technology has the best surface performance, gradually decreasing inward.
3) The materials are varied, with CMT surfacing mainly using 625. Laser cladding can appropriately increase the ceramic phase and improve the service life.

1) Material variability is stronger;
2) High binding strength;
In summary, the use of laser cladding technology and high-speed laser cladding technology for surface cladding of heating surface tubes in garbage incinerators has better quality indicators and efficiency compared to other technical routes.
At the same time, by using this technology, the severely worn heating surface can also be modified by changing the deposition material, improving the wear resistance of the heating surface and greatly improving the service life of the equipment.
