The air preheater is a critical heat-exchange device in boiler systems, and its main functions include:
Waste heat recovery: Utilizing flue gas heat to preheat combustion air, reducing flue gas temperature (which can be lowered to 100–120℃) and improving boiler thermal efficiency by 5%–15%.
Energy saving and consumption reduction: For every 1.5℃ increase in air temperature, the flue gas temperature drops by 1℃, enabling each piece of equipment to save millions of yuan in fuel costs annually.
Optimizing combustion: Preheating air (100–300℃) improves fuel ignition conditions and reduces losses due to incomplete combustion.
Protect equipment: Reduce the operating temperature of the induced draft fan and extend equipment lifespan.
